Hobbies: Growing my own organic vegetable garden, scouts, volunteering as much as possible to spread epilepsy awareness, purple belt karate student, listening to rock music, reading, lego, bike riding, cooking and chess.

I am a pupil at the Deutshe Internationale Schulle of Johannesburg, and a German scout.

At the age of 7 I joined Parkmore Scouts as a cub and one of the requirements is to do a project related to an interest. I chose a local epilepsy care organic vegetable garden in Craighall that is run by Danielle Alexander a full time volunteer.

At the age of 9 I organised an epilepsy awareness campaign and toiletry drive at Brynevan Primary School. Which included a talk and a demo showing pupils a typical scene of a seizure. The campaign was so succesful we needed to hire a trailer (i.e a u-haul) to transport the donations to REEA epilepsy care centre.

At the age of 10 I gathered a group of friends and surprised Sandton city shoppers with an epilepsy flash mob which was filmed by etv for their 7 pm news.

At the age of 11 I organised a and performed a first aid demo for the entire school. Inclusive of a fun raiser for REEA epilepsy center.

At Christmas time I join forces with a lady by the name of Danielle who works at REEA and we wrap up gifts to give to each resident and have Christmas lunch with them.  I also shaved my head for epilepsy awareness and was featured on www.epilepsyaustralia.net

I was chosen by Epilepsy South Africa to represent them and continue raising awareness. They then realized that it was not me that was diagnosed with epilepsy but in fact my mother was diagnosed when she was 6 or 7. They then denied the application and I was guttered when this happened as I was so looking forward to doing outreach programmes with them to further the campaign that I have built.

I helped organise the first walk for epilepsy way back in  2016. I am very proud of this. The annual walks to promote awareness about Epilepsy continue today. If you have Epilepsy, or live with someone who does, then you know how little is known about the condition and why it is so important to keep educating people about Epilepsy. I would really appreciate your support for this years event too - you can register below.
